Newport Folk will be doing things a little differently this year. We’ll be extending our dates to present two unique 3-day events of surprise performances, storytelling, and workshops at Fort Adams State Park – July 23rd – July 25th and July 26th – July 28th, 2021.

 

GULL & STARS 2021 MEMBER UPDATE

Dear Gull & Stars Members, 

As a thank you for your continued support, we are offering Gull & Stars Members first access to tickets for this summer’s events. Starting today, you will have three options to use your current Gull & Stars membership. Please fill out this form. You have until May 4, 2021 at 11:59 PM EST to let us know your decision:

A) USE YOUR MEMBERSHIP TO ATTEND NEWPORT FOLK THIS SUMMER 

Apply your membership to receive tickets for this summer at no cost. You will be asked whether you wish to attend Fri-Sun or Mon-Wed. By selecting this option you are completing your membership and will have to renew for 2022.

B) DEFER YOUR MEMBERSHIP TO 2022, BUT PURCHASE TICKETS TO ATTEND NEWPORT FOLK THIS SUMMER

Defer your membership to attend next year (2022), but purchase tickets for this summer during the members-only pre-sale. Each 3-day pass is $230 plus fees. You will be asked if you’d like to purchase tickets to attend Fri-Sun or Mon-Wed.

C) DEFER YOUR MEMBERSHIP TO 2022

You do not wish to attend this summer – we will defer your membership to 2022.

Will I be able to choose which Folk event I’d like to attend? 

Yes. As a Gull & Stars Member, you can choose which three-day event you’d like to attend. 

 

I don’t wish to attend this summer, can I just defer my membership to 2022? 

Yes, if you do not wish to attend either folk three-day event this summer, you can just defer your Gull & Stars Membership to next year (2022). All your member benefits (including tickets) will roll over to 2022. 

 

Can I use one of my tickets for the FRI-SUN event, and the other for the MON-WED event? 

No, tickets cannot be split up by events. You will only be able to use your tickets to attend one of the three-day events. 

 

If I choose to defer my G&S membership to 2022, but I want to buy tickets during the member presale, how much will tickets cost? 

Each 3-day pass is $230 plus fees. As in years past, if your plans change, you will have the option to return your tickets to the LYTE ticket exchange.

 

Will COVID safety protocols be announced before members have to complete the form?

No. At the moment, it’s too early to say which protocols will be in place at the time of the event. Ticket Holders may be subject to certain health protocols which may include; temperature checks, proof of a negative COVID test, social distancing and wearing masks.

No, artists will not be announced before the form deadline.

 

Will I be able to return my tickets through Lyte? 

Yes. As in years past, if your plans change, you will have the option to return your tickets valued at $250 for each three-day pass to the LYTE ticket exchange.

 

Note that if you return your tickets through Lyte, you are not able to renew your Gull & Stars membership on site at the festival. 

 

What if I’m also a Revival Member? 

You will need to fill out two separate request forms. They will be emailed to you through separate emails. Note that your Revival Membership will be handled completely separately from your Gull & Stras Membership and may have separate outcomes. 

 

I usually attend Newport Folk with friends, can I make sure we both attend the same 3-day event this summer? 

No, all memberships will be handled separately. 

 

Will I be able to renew my membership at the foundation tent this year? 

Yes! If you choose to apply your membership to attend one of the events, you will be able to renew your Gull & Stars Membership at the Foundation Tent this year. 

 

Will tickets for this summer’s event be available to the general public after the member presale? 

Info on that coming soon!

 

Can I attend one day and then give my ticket to a friend/family member to attend the next day? 

Because of on-site COVID restrictions, tickets may not be shared with another party and cannot be split up by day. Out of an abundance of caution, this will be strictly enforced this year.

 

If I fill out the form and change my mind, can I fill it out again? 

No. Once you submit your request, no exchanges may be made. You will have until May 4, 2021, 11:59 PM EST to complete the form, so please take your time. 

 

Are you selling child tickets for this summer? 

No child tickets will be sold in 2021. You can, of course, use your member ticket/s for a child. No ticket is needed for a child two and under.  

 

What if I have an infant? 

No ticket is needed for a child two and under. 

 

Are you selling single day tickets?

No, for COVID safety reasons we are only selling 3 day tickets. 

 

Will you be selling parking tickets? 

Yes. More information coming later.

 

How will I get the tickets I purchased? 

Ticket barcodes will be sent by email from Eventbrite a week before the event.
