MAKE THE NEWPORT JAZZ FESTIVAL YOUR CLASSROOM
Join us for a week long, life-changing Jazz Camp in Newport, Rhode Island. High School students will learn from experienced music educators and festival artists about topics including jazz theory, improvisation, small ensembles, and big band. The camp will take place from July 25 – August 2 and will conclude with each student performing on stage at the legendary festival. Click here to register.
Students will be asked to submit auditions for placement. A place to insert a link to your recording will be supplied in the registration form here. If you prefer to send an email with an attachment, all auditions should go to jazzcamp@salve.edu
Application and Fees
Tuition is $1,500 (includes meals and room) for overnight and $850 for commuters. A placement audition recording and full tuition must accompany all applications. You can pay the deposit ($250) or the entire tuition amout (communters – $850, resident students – $1500) at the time of registration. You will receive a link for the payment of your balance once the registration and audition is complete. We hope to receive all applications by July 10.
