In Honor of Jeffrey Cavalier

Jeffrey C. Cavalier, 74, of Narragansett, passed away on Tuesday, January 13th. Born in Bedford, Ohio to his parents the late Charles and Naoma (Clark) Cavalier. He was the devoted husband of the late Jacqueline (Surber) Cavalier for 23 years.

Music was one of his greatest passions. A drummer at heart, he played in bands including Second Opinion and Safe Passage. He also played the guitar and, in his earlier years, recorded an album in Nashville.

His family is honoring his legacy by directing gifts in Jeffrey’s memory to the Newport Festivals Foundation music education programs, which provide free instruments, music lessons, and after-school programs to thousands of students each year.
