In Honor of Douglas R. Tingle

Douglas was a regular attendee at the Newport Folk and Jazz Festival and maintained several close friendships through Rhode Island’s local music scene, where his love of guitar-playing and all genres of music connected him with a wide community.

 

His family is honoring his legacy by directing gifts in Doug’s memory to the Newport Festivals Foundation music education programs, which provide free instruments, music lessons, and after-school programs to thousands of students each year.
